liberatED, 2023 - Branding and Logo Design
liberatED is a fictitious educational forum developed for a Visual Communications course, aimed at spotlighting a marginalized community.
In creating the branding and logo, Jayla reflects the forum's mission through thoughtful design elements. The logo features Pan-African colors and a hair pick, symbolizing the Black diaspora. Additionally, the Black Power fist pays tribute to the pioneers of the civil rights movement. The imagery of the fists pulling apart the teeth of the hair pick symbolizes breaking barriers and the pursuit of liberation, capturing the forum's commitment to abolition.
