Don’t Ask Me About Violence” is a 4.25 x 5.5-inch print booklet that remixes “The Black Power Mixtape: 1967-1975” by Göran Olsson.
The zine explores the complexities of violence within social movements. Using scanned material from the original publication, I reworked both text and imagery to create a reflective narrative that critiques dominant frameworks of violence and resistance (the tendency to critique protest tactics while ignoring the institutional violence and systemic injustices that these movements aim to dismantle.)
